It’s time to unlock Peterborough’s full potential.

I've spent the last several months talking with hundreds of Peterborough residents and business owners.

The message I hear from nearly everyone is identical:

We’re often told "We can't". We're told that saying yes to one thing means saying no to everything else.

That's the zero-sum game of scarcity. There's a better question to ask of ourselves and of our city...

What if we could?

I believe Peterborough can be a city of abundance, not scarcity.

But to realize that potential, we need leadership that understands how to build — by building trust, building community, and building an environment of job creation.

We need practical leadership and a clear vision for growth.

We need to bring community energy back to our Electric City.

Welcome to the new Electric City.

I have the experience to lead, but I can’t do it alone.

I need all of us to unlock PTBO’s potential.

I’m a community builder & entrepreneur.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been an entrepreneur.

People like me don't wait for someone else to fix what’s broken — they remove every obstacle needed to get the job done.

In any problem they see an opportunity, and they collaborate tirelessly to achieve their full potential.

I’m also a lifelong community builder, committed to giving back to the city that has given me so much.

Each experience has taught me that the strength of our Peterborough is measured by how we make every resident feel like they belong here:

  • Co-Founder, PTBOCanada
  • Co-Founder, StudioPTBO
  • Co-Founder, Cormor
  • Past Chair, United Way of Peterborough & District
  • Leader, Canadian Canoe Museum "Moving The Collection: The Final Portage" Campaign
  • Trent University Alumni Advisory & Adam Scott Hall of Honour

I'm a problem solver.

You've told me what PTBO needs, and I have the experience, the values and the relationships to solve our city's biggest challenges.

Together, We Will Invest in Peterborough.

We can’t tax our way to prosperity – we need to grow our way there. And growth requires investment.

"Investing means aggressive economic development to attract jobs and even more investment. This in turn will enable us to revitalize our downtown, build the responsible housing we need, fix our roads and potholes, nourish our community’s soul with arts and culture, and build a Peterborough for all."

Over the course of thousands of conversations with residents, a dominant theme has emerged: you want to know that the city’s finances are being managed with a keen eye on results. Whether we're talking about economic development, taxes and affordability, arts and culture, or compassion, residents are demanding a shift in how City Hall operates.

How do we change Peterborough’s trajectory? How do we make Peterborough a city where people want to invest?

We do it by changing direction. Not through a small course correction, but through a fundamental change in the way we see our city and its future.

My platform is a blueprint for action. A comprehensive guide to help Peterborough move from "What if we could?" to "Together, we will."

I intend to think big. I intend to be bold. And I intend to take on challenges that others may consider unsolvable — and make them solvable.

Together, We Will Invest in Peterborough

Together, We Will Invest in Peterborough represents a fundamental strategic shift for our city: moving away from a mindset of scarcity and toward a proactive, ROI-driven model of municipal investing. New businesses and the jobs they create won't simply materialize. They’ll come when we aggressively put the conditions for growth in place.

We grow Peterborough by investing in Peterborough. More businesses mean more jobs. More jobs mean more people earning more money. More investment means more assessment growth. And more assessment growth gives us the capacity to provide better services and more opportunities—without continually asking existing taxpayers to pay more.

Most importantly, investing means adopting a culture of fiscal discipline, treating our tax dollars like our own, and expecting a concrete, measurable return for every dollar in the city's budget. Yes, a financial return. But also a getting-things-done return, and a civic-pride return.

A Blueprint Built from the Top Down & The Bottom Up

These policies have been shaped by my distinct approach to governing, my strong values and clear vision, and by deep community consultations. I've worked hard to develop a policy platform that reflects the aspirations of our community and supports efforts to address the challenges we face.

I started with my "100 Coffees” – a series of meetings with residents representing the economic, downtown, housing, compassion and arts & culture sectors. I followed up with the PTBO Top Priority poll online survey of residents asking them to identify the most important issues facing our city. Later, I concluded a series of policy meetings with local residents conducted in all wards across the City. And I've canvassed thousands of homes in every ward in Peterborough.

I've built my blueprint from the top down and the bottom up.

The Invest in Peterborough Action Plan

The challenges facing Peterborough – from housing to downtown safety to our local economy – are complex and deeply intertwined. We've staggered the rollout of our policy blueprint because we want everyone to have the time and space to truly digest, scrutinize, and understand our vision for each specific pillar of this city.

Together, We Will Invest in Peterborough.

Then, and only then, will residents feel like they’re getting value for their money.

Then and only then will residents feel like Peterborough loves them back.

Then and only then will Peterborough unlock its full potential.
