Peterborough is home to a vibrant, growing population of older adults and seniors whose experience, leadership, and contributions enrich our entire community. Building a truly thriving city means planning proactively for every stage of life.

I am so please that seniors’ advocate and documentary filmmaker Dr. Jenny Ingram has helped to organize this event, and I appreciate her support. You'll hear why Dr. Ingram has endorsed my candidacy and platform, and I'll review my plans to make Peterborough the best age-friendly city in Canada, focusing on the three A's:

• Age-Friendly: An age-friendly lens applied to proposed council decisions.
• Affordable: Limiting increases in property taxes to support those on fixed incomes
• Accessible and Safe: Ensuring an accessible and safe city through universal design, reliable transit, and consistent sidewalk maintenance.
